About Me
Currently,
I am utilizing my years of dance training by working as a performer at
the Walt Disney World Resort and at Universal Studios Orlando. I was
recently a Professional Intern for Alliance Marketing also at the Walt
Disney World
in Florida. My department, Global Content Development, develops
creative video content to support marketing tactics for the Disney
Destinations Marketing group. I am looking to transition back into the marketing field soon.
Previously,
I have held various internships and jobs that have given me experience
in marketing, public relations, business, sales, management, and law. I
worked as Aquatics Manager for the City of Milpitas,
overseeing a staff of over 75 lifeguards.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2011 with a
Bachelor of
Arts in Business Economics and in Communication and with a minor in
Professional
Writing, Business Communication. While at school, I was a Regents
Scholar,
completed the College of Letters and Science Honors Program, and graduated with High Honors. During my
junior
year, I studied abroad at the Università Bocconi in
Milan, Italy.
After
graduating, I traveled to Hong Kong to work as an intern at Evie
Consulting and as a
research assistant
at the City University of Hong Kong. At the university, I worked on a
more extensive version of my Senior Honors Thesis, which regards
perceptions
of
intellectual property across different cultures.
I
love
dancing;
I have been a member of various performing and competitive dance teams
and companies. Additionally, I have held the position of Stage Manager
for the Santa Barbara Dance Alliance and Assistant
Stage
Manager for the UCSB Dance Department. In my free time, I also enjoy
theatre, traveling,
snowboarding, reading, and the outdoors.
My
professional interests include marketing and communication, law,
international issues, and entertainment. In the future, I hope to
gain a full time position in marketing.
